Here’s IRCTC’s warning mail to its users
NEW DELHI: The Indian Railway’s ticketing portal IRCTC has sent a ‘warning’ mail to its registered users. The mail warns users against fraud website that is offering tourism packages in the name of IRCTC. As per IRCTC’s mail, the website named www.irctctour.com is tricking people into making fraudulent transactions. IRCTC has also filed an official complaint against the website. The website’s look and feel is also said to be similar to IRCTC’s. It also claims that it is part of IRCTC and is offering tour packages on its behalf.
Here’s the mail sent by irctc to its users
IRCTC – IT Centre has received two complaints recently for fraud booking in the name of IRCTC. The fraud website is www.irctctour.com. The tour confirmation voucher of fraud is exactly same of IRCTC. The mentioned details are mobile no.9999999999, landline no. +91 6371526046 & email–id: email@example.com are being used for selling tourism products in the name of IRCTC.
This office has already filed the FIRs from counter as well as through online. An alert scroller has been updated in the tourism homepage.
It is requested to all to create awareness among the near & dear ones through different modes of communication; in order to stop the fraud activities.

In regular advisory, IRCTC tells users to never share their account number, ATM card details, PIN or OTP with anyone over the phone or via email. It says that IRCTC officials never call users asking them about their personal information for refunds for any canceled tickets.
The users also need to keep in mind that IRCTC is the only Indian Railways website which is authorised to offer online railways tickets and catering services to the customers.
