Hong Kong-based Transsion Holdings that sells smartphones under the brand name Infinix has now launched Infinix Smart 5 smartphone with a big 5000mAh battery and 6.6-inch HD+ waterdrop sunlight display. The device comes in three colours: Quetzal Cyan, Ice Blue, and Midnight Black. However, so far, there is information about the availability of the phone in India.

The handset maker claims that the phone comes with a battery life of four days. The Infinix Smart 5 3G variant is listed on the handset maker’s Nigerian website with a 2GB/32GB storage variant, priced at NGN 39,500 which roughly translates into Rs 7,800. In terms of specs, the Infinix Smart 5 runs on Android 10 OS (Go edition) with its custom XOS 6 on top.

The phone sports a 6.6-inch HD+ 720×1,600 pixels IPS screen and under the hood has a 1.8GHz processor with 3GB of RAM. In terms of camera specs, the global variant of Infinix Smart 5 sports a triple rear camera setup; the Nigerian variant carries a dual rear camera set-up only. Meanwhile, the global variant, includes a 13-megapixel primary cam with two QVGA lenses.

The Infinix Smart 5 comes with an 8-megapixel sensor at the front for selfies. There’s a big 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging only. The phone also comes with a a fingerprint scanner, ambient light sensor, and measures 165.4×73.4×8.75mm.

Meanwhile, Infinix is now also working to launch its Infinix Zero 8 smartphone with MediaTek Helio G90T chipset, according to a Google Play Console listing. The purported Infinix Zero 8 has also been seen on Geekbench database site as well as TKDN certification website, thus, revealing some of its key specs.
